Maison Fortuné Orphanage Foundation's Strategic Aims

These aims are presented in no particular order of priority.

  • Strategic Aim #1 - Include in the Comprehensive Capital Improvement Plan energy needs assessment.
  • Strategic Aim #2 - Development and execution of a Comprehensive Endowment Plan to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Strategic Aim #3 - Update, execute and sustain the Sponsorship Plan so as to include every child being sponsored by an organization, individual or family.
  • Strategic Aim #4 - Development by the Foundation Executive Director of a comprehensive summary of the information /requirements/contacts, etc., used.
  • Strategic Aim #5 - Development of an overall Marketing Plan to grow the awareness of the orphanage and interest in support from around the world.
  • Strategic Aim #6 - Development and execution of a Comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Plan* for all orphanage structures.
  • Strategic Aim #7 - Development and execution of an Individual Educational Plan* for each of the children, including paths to higher education or technical schooling – and a plan for his or her departure from the orphanage.
  • Strategic Aim #8 - Development and execution of Individual Staff Career Progression and Retention Plans. **
  • Strategic Aim #9 - Development of a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure* (or “Book of Knowledge”).
  • Strategic Aim #10 - Development and execution of a comprehensive Wellness Plan* for the residents and staff.
  • Strategic Aim #11 – Research and study a facility-wide education plan (including the establishment of a vocational/technical center which would include farming).
  • Strategic Aim #12 – Explore and develop strategic partnerships with universities, government agencies, NGOs and private industry to promote post-orphanage jobs as part of the transition plan for residents.

** These specific plans envisioned in the Strategic Aims, will be developed by the Maison Fortuné Director with his staff, since they have to do with local operations. They are included among the Foundation’s Strategic Aims since the Board sees having them in place as essential to its supportive role. In addition, the Board will assist in the development of these plans as appropriate and to the extent that this collaboration can be helpful.
