During Art Mowbry's visit to the orphanage in August 2011, he had the privilege to witness the Orphanage Football Championship on a lovely but hot Sunday afternoon.  Most of the residents watched as two teams played for bragging rights.  The match was the culmination of season play for the eight teams.  All but one of the players lives at the orphanage and the officials were also residents.

The most impressive thing he witnessed, other than the wonderful level of skill, was the sportsmanship demonstrated by both the losing and winning teams at the end of the match.  The losers expressed sincere congratulations to the winners and the winners were gracious in return.  Hugs and high fives were exchanged along with jerseys and in the end it was hard to tell who won and who lost.  The real winners were all the residents as so many had a

wonderful time.  It is evident in events like this that you are helping to make a difference in their lives with your continuing support.
