Projects and Programs
Girls Building Annex
As the Orphanage has taken on more children since its inception in 2000, the need has increased for programs to educate, train, care for the children and expand their opportunities. The Wellness Program and the Computer Lab are a couple of examples of these programs.
A program for budding artists has been started and already several children have been identified as possessing special talents in this area.
Other projects for the construction of facilities or special features to improve the quality of life for the children are, for example, the Cistern Project, Library and the Solar Panel Project.
Site of planned new dining hall
A new two-story building is being designed to replace the buidling at left and function as a dining hall/kitchen/chapel.
The school day begins
Another major program deals with the poor children in the area surrounding the orphanage: over 100 students come on campus each week day to attend the campus elementary school; they also receive a hot meal provided with funding from Scottish International Relief.
It has been your generosity that has made these projects possible. Please continue to support the Foundation’s efforts to assist the Orphanage staff. You can visit our Ways To Help web page to find out more information.
