Hearts

Mrs. Hall is a first grade teacher at Conant Elementary School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.  Her class is named the "All-Stars". The theme for their class Valentines Day party this year was "Hearts for Haiti".  As part of the party they did a school-wide coin drive and raised $945.80 for Maison Fortuné. They spent much of their party time counting and sorting the coins collected.

Johanna Berger's son is in Mrs. Hall's class and Johanna was in charge of organizing the party.  She reached out to a friend, Paddy Lynch, who lived at Maison Fortune for several months while volunteering there a few years back.  Paddy went to the class and told them all about Maison Fortuné and talked about many of the kids he knew personally.  It was a really great experience for the kids. They were very proud of what they did and were overwhelmed with the response from all the families in the school.

The Maison Fortuné Foundation Board and the children at the orphanage want to express their sincere thanks to Mrs. Hall's First Grade class.  They are truly "All-Stars" in every sense of the word.
