FINANCIAL SUPPORT
The primary way you can help the children of Maison Fortuné Orphanage is by making a financial donation. Our goal is to have stable revenues available to the orphanage administrators so they can focus on the health and education of the children. You can make that goal a reality.

PERSONAL TIME SUPPORT - VOLUNTEERING
As you can imagine, there are many ways a volunteer can assist the Foundation in making a difference in the life of a child in Haiti. We have the need for people to help us here in the States as well as a smaller need for people to volunteer their time in Haiti.
It must be noted that for those who want to travel to the Maison Fortuné Orphanage in Haiti, it must be coordinated through the Foundation. This manages the flow of people and maximizes the effectiveness of the assistance while minimizing the disruption of their routines, classes etc. We do not help with any travel costs. We want to maximize the amount of the donations going to directly assist the children and pride ourselves on keeping the cost of administration and fund raising to less than 3% of the amount donated.

MATERIAL SUPPORT
From time to time, we will have the need for many different items for use at the orphanage by staff and residents, like shoes, bicycles, food, clothing, sports equipment, computer equipment, etc. You get the idea. However, getting these items to Haiti can be a large task. We do not encourage you to send packages direct because the custom duties can be quite high and sometimes the more valuable items do not reach their intended destination.
When we do collect items to be shipped, we arrange a container to be packed and sent from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia (this encompasses the cities of Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Newport News, and Hampton). When we have special appeals, we will post that information on our website. Since this form of assistance is not available at the moment, you might want to look at the other Ways To Help.
SPIRITUAL SUPPORT
Of course, we do believe that your prayers can make a difference. We ask that you pray for:
The help and happiness of the children and staff at the orphanage.
The future success of the children as the grow and learn and become future leaders of Haiti as well as future parents and role models to others.
The peace, safety and just reward for all those working so hard to make a difference in the life of a child in Haiti and throughout the world.
